The Geek Locker
The Geek Locker strives to be a hub for user-centric product design, with an emphasis on sports technology. In 2024, The Geek Locker will focus on releasing regular content, and transforming from a personal project into… whatever comes next!
Newsletter: Bi-weekly e-mail sharing interesting statistics, useful design websites, GL blog posts and projects, and more product design content.
Blog: Long-form publications covering topics ranging from specific technical challenges in sport, to broad design philosophy, to personal “Top” lists— whatever is occupying our minds or daily routine!
Projects: The GL home for project- or product-specific design and development work. The content will vary significantly from barely-legible mind maps and digital sketches to detailed CAD renders and technical analyses.

About Me
I’m Cam Douglas– an engineer, product designer, and sports enthusiast. I attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for my BS in mechanical engineering and completed my MS at CU Boulder. Sports technology has long been the vehicle for my mechanical engineering studies, and has spiraled into a broader love for product design.
I’m now a product manager and engineer at AMP Robotics, a recycling robotics startup based in Colorado. Previously, I’ve worked for Red Bull Esports, the Future Engineering Group at Adidas, and designed everything from automatic door openers to brick repointing tools and injection molded yo-yos throughout my studies. I enjoy tackling technical and project management challenges across a wide variety of applications and industries.
